The rally is organised by the School Strikers – who are school students of all ages, races, genders, backgrounds and sexualities across Australia.
They are united by their concern for the future of the planet. Together, they have become a massive movement, and are striking from school to demand politicans take their future seriously, and acting on the climate crisis.

The School Strikers are calling for:
- No new coal, gas or oil projects
- 100% renewable energy generation and exports by 2030
- Funding of a just transition and job creation for all fossil fuel workers and communities
