We know that we are facing a climate crisis.
The reality is climate change ruthlessly marches on.
Our March meeting had seen the PM swing from Hawaii to shaking bushfire survivors hands, to becoming spokesperson for Australia's world class health care experts while climate debate was quashed in parliament and Zali Steggall's climate bill got postponed.
The pandemic and its outcomess mean we are refocusing to fit our changed environment. There are many in the community who have fallen through the gaps in the government's responses and we now support three community facebook groups based on local government areas.

Barton meets 7.00pm 30 April, online using Zoom software (details in the rsvp response).
The meeting agenda will be to discuss where we are up to and discuss next steps with like minded people.
There is an opportunity to achieve a people's future including climate justice. History shows there is a risk that we slide into fascim and a "disaster capitalism" outcome would mean massive government support and profits for large corporations while vulnerable people suffer.
