Townsville Solar Tour

The Townsville Action Group is a team of local GetUp members who are passionate about the potential of North Queensland to have a thriving renewable energy industry. One that can power our homes, employ our young people, and provide positive vision for the Townsville community.

That's why we're working with other groups in the area on a campaign to #RepowerTownsville, and hosting the Townsville Solar Tour on Saturday 26 May to learn more about large-scale renewables projects in our region and talk about the next steps in our campaign.

We will be visiting two nearby solar sites to learn about the industry locally, and discuss how we can champion publicly-owned renewables. It’s also a great opportunity to find out more about the new Townsville Action Group and connect with like-minded and passionate community members.
