Next Wednesday, we need to make more concrete plans for our People’s Recovery campaign in Sydney-Grayndler. Here is a quick and dirty summary:

How can we find issues that are immediate, specific and winnable?

Problem: the Federal government won’t take action on climate change, and wants to cut funding for renewables and invest our money in a gas-led recovery

Problem: Covid19 has caused a deep recession and the Government wants to spend big on fossil fuel extraction

Solution: Local, job rich climate plan!

So we discussed the issues that we might campaign on in this context.

We decided to meet again next Wednesday 12th August from 6-7:30pm, online on Zoom. We would love you all to come along and contribute to our planning session.
