Southside Sun 8 April: Film screening #StopAdani: A Mighty Force

#StopAdani: A Mighty Force reveals an unstoppable movement for change in action.

This 30-minute documentary captures the power and passion of people taking extraordinary action to stop Adani from building one of the biggest coal mines in the world, threatening our water, our climate and our Great Barrier Reef.

From remote central Queensland where the mine is proposed to be built, to rallies in metropolitan Melbourne and Sydney, this David and Goliath battle is one of the most determined and focused campaigns in Australia’s recent history.

While we've won some mighty victories, our fight is far from over. One thing is certain: Adani has a fight on its hands.

Meet your local GetUp! community members and neighbours, and learn more about how we can stop Adani.

Waterview Terrace is accessed off Gladstone Road, into Pope Street and then left into Waterview Terrace.  The street has limited parking and is a ‘No Through Road’ although there is a turn-around bay in Indooroopilly Street (which follows on from Waterview Terrace) to make it easier to turn around when you are leaving.

For those who have heavy items to carry or have passengers with health or mobility issues, Waterview Terrace is the best option.  For others who don’t mind a short walk uphill, there is a parking lot off the TJ Doyle Memorial Park Drive just below The Bower and with a footpath access to Waterview Terrace.  The parking lot was used for the old Dutton Park ferry terminus.  This car park cannot be accessed by vehicle from Waterview Terrace.

An optional $1 donation will help to cover costs for this screening.
