Snap Coordination Call: stop Dutton and put climate on the agenda
We're in a hugely turbulent political moment. Dutton may become PM in the next few weeks, and regardless of who is leader the odds of a 2018 election just got a whole lot higher.
The Coalition are tearing themselves apart, with climate and energy policy becoming collateral damage. Turnbull has already dropped having any emissions reduction targets whatsoever, and it won't get any better with Dutton at the helm.
But already our members are rising up to meet this moment. In just 24 hours over 1700 members have pledged 20,000 hours of volunteering to stop Peter Dutton. This is already more than amount of time volunteered for the whole 2016 federal election effort.
The GetUp team have started planning how our movement can get on the front foot and take back the agenda, but we need to work through it with you because it's going to take all of us to make it a reality.
Join the snap coordination call at 6.30pm AEST Thursday night!
