Our future is powered by sunshine.
But Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Energy Minister Angus Taylor could lock us into decades of mining and burning climate-wrecking gas.
They're rushing through new laws to change infrastructure funds like NAIF and CEFC, all so they can hand over billions of dollars of public money to multinational gas corporations. This gas burning bonanza is a climate disaster; methane gas heats our planet, pollutes our water and harms our health.
But together, we can speak out and stop them. That’s why we have run a massive National Day of Action in Bondi, online and in major cities across Australia. This event is being run by local GetUp volunteers in Revesby.
It will be super fun, with the goal of having conversations with local people asking them to fill in a postcard to their MP, telling them they want clean energy, not methane gas.
