Our future is powered by sunshine. 

But in 2021, in the midst of a pandemic, multi-billion dollar gas corporations wanted Scott Morrison to hand over public money so they could frack and burn climate-wrecking methane gas for decades, against the wishes of Traditional Owners.

So together, the GetUp Action Network spoke out for clean air, water and health – and had hundreds of conversations in our communities to say no to gas bailouts.

And when the United Nations Climate Conference rolled around (COP26), we held stunts and started online teams to paint the streets and our social media feeds with a clear message: #ThisCantWait. Together, we tackled Morrison's attempt to greenwash his government's inaction and made clear there is no social licence for climate-wrecking gas.
