Lower Blue Mountains Listening Project Event

As the climate crisis worsens across the country, communities are rolling up their sleeves and stepping in to help each other through extreme fires and floods.

But no-one should have to face this alone. Wherever we live, we all have a right to a safe future. And as disasters worsen and repeat, we know our shared strength and resilience must scale too.

Frontline communities know what’s needed. Local leaders know the solutions that are most important to recover from and prevent climate disasters in their communities.

So GetUp is uniting with impacted communities on a Listening Project to deeply listen and amplify community voices, and cocreate a national campaign for just adaptation and a just recovery.

This event is an initial check in to discuss this idea, and whether a listening project would be right for your community. If it is, we will map out who should be involved, and come up with a plan together for listening events and tactics that work for your community.

This project relies on local community leaders like you, because you know your community best.

We look forward to working alongside you.
