The pandemic and its outcomes meant we refocused to fit our changed environment.
There are many in the community who have fallen through the gaps in the government's response and we supported a community facebook group focused on Bayside Council and nearby areas.

But now that restrictions are easing, it’s time to get underway with ensuring the government’s recovery effort cares for people and the planet
This last week brought terrible news for the future of our country. Energy Minister Angus Taylor wants to steal money from the taxpayer funded Australian Renewable Energy Fund (ARENA) and give it to the fossil fuel industry to frack our country!
Taylor’s Technology Roadmap embraces more gas-fired power plants. He wants to fast-track changes to use the ARENA $2 billion renewables fund on fossil fuels and carbon capture. (SMH, May 19)
Kingsford-Smith is meeting 7.00pm 4 June, online using Zoom software (details in the rsvp response)
This is an opportunity to achieve a better future for all with climate safety. An opportunity to meet with like minded people and discuss next steps.
Taylor published his discussion paper last week, and community feedback must be submitted before June 21!
We need to reach as many people in our communities as possible, and encourage them to call, email, or write to their MPs to demand that ARENA money be given to renewable energy projects only.
Coming out of this health emergency, we could have an austerity driven “gas-lead recovery”, or we could have a renewables boom and green jobs for all.
Hope to see you online
