Inner West Spells It Out: Stop Adani!
(Hosted by Stop Adani, Stop Adani Sydney, Climate-Change Balmain-Rozelle, Friends of the Earth Sydney & Nurses & Midwives for Climate Action)
October 7 marks the National Day of Action to #StopAdani!
All over the country groups are gathering to literally spell it out for the pollies - in the form of human signs. The location of this human sign will be Camperdown Rest Memorial Park (otherwise known as 'Newtown Park' near the Courty) - so chosen because it is on the border of Tanya Plibersek MP and Anthony Albanese MP’s electorates.
Letters will be marked out with tape and we invite you to bring your picnic blanket and all your friends to come and fill them up! Both MPs have been invited to come and speak on the day so that they can see, hear, and feel the opposition to this atrocious coal mine among voters.
If you don't have much time - just come for the photo! Be there at two and leave at half past!
If you want to stick around - Bring your bike, bring your dog, bring your family, your juggling balls, your hoola hoops, your acoustic instruments, you name it.
This is a family friendly event and is set to be a fun day of peaceful-protest-picnicking. Even if you can’t make it - tell all your friends about it and please share this event. We need as many people as possible to make the message loud and clear - together we can #STOPADANI!
