A month is a really long time in politics!
Our Monthly MeetUp is coming up, and we have a new Prime Minister. We may even be facing an early election, so we need to be ready!
Can you join us on Wednesday 5th September, at 6pm at the Quaker Hall, Surry Hills? Can you bring a young friend who would like to know more about GetUp?
Our Action Group is a team of local volunteers who share a passion for pursuing environmental justice, human rights, democracy and economic fairness. We support GetUp by extending and amplifying campaigns in the electorates of Sydney and Grayndler. We also participate as part of the national Action Network.
At this meeting our group will:
- hear back from our research team
- plan our Future to Fight For Campaign
- assign tasks for our StopAdani event
- sign up for our Dickson/Dutton election campaign
- explain our training opportunities
New and returning members are welcome :)
The Quaker Hall is close to Central Station and is wheelchair accessible. Tea, coffee & cake are provided. To thank the Friends for their generous support, we ask for a gold coin donation to pay for our time in their beautiful Quaker Hall.
