The election campaign is heating up, and Sydney-Grayndler Action Group is in the thick of it! Come to our Monthly Meeting to join in!
GetUp members campaign for issues, not political parties, and election periods are times when we can demand our candidates be accountable on environmental justice, human rights, democracy and economic fairness.
We have less than 3 weeks till the election! We don’t have much time left to get the hard right out of politics!
Join us on Wednesday May 1st, at 6pm, downstairs at the Quaker Hall, Surry Hills.
This meeting will include:
- An “Ask Me Anything!” session, where you can get the latest updates on the campaign
- A short calling training session with a film about our key tactic of Persuasive Conversations
- We will take a break for tea, coffee, and cake
- Then at 7pm we will try some calling - this will be an opportunity to listen to experienced callers do their stuff, and maybe get on the phones to try it for yourself! The election will be 18 days away, so we want to use as much time as we have taking action!
The Quaker Hall is close to Central Station and is wheelchair accessible. Tea, coffee & cake are provided. To thank the Friends for their generous support, we ask for a gold coin donation to pay for our time in their beautiful Quaker Hall.
