Things are getting pretty exciting at GetUp!
Do you want to play a part in changing the politics of the country? Our monthly MeetUp is coming up, and we have an election to prepare for!
Our Action Group is a team of local volunteers. We support GetUp by extending and amplifying campaigns in the electorates of Sydney, Grayndler, and across Sydney. We also participate as part of the national GetUp Action Network.
GetUp members campaign for issues, not political parties, and election periods are times when we can demand our candidates be accountable on environmental justice, human rights, democracy and economic fairness.

Join us on Wednesday 6th February, at 6pm, downstairs at the Quaker Hall, Surry Hills.
This meeting will include:
- a guest speaker from the Refugee Coalition
- a review of the volunteering opportunities in the State Elections
- a plan for meeting our Federal members before the election
- leadership opportunities within the group
- a run-down of GetUp's election strategy and the ways our group can be involved
- a persuasive conversations workshop: learn more about our key campaigning tactic and develop your persuasive skills using games and role play in a relaxed low-pressure environment
- and sign up for the Warringah Campaign to Turf out Tony Abbott!
Bring a friend! New and returning members are welcome :)
The Quaker Hall is close to Central Station and is wheelchair accessible. Tea, coffee & cake are provided. To thank the Friends for their generous support, we ask for a gold coin donation to pay for our time in their beautiful Quaker Hall.
Join us to fight for a fair, flourishing, and just democracy!
