After a decade of campaigning, Traditional Owners across the Northern Territory have successfully forced Origin Energy to sell one hundred percent of their dangerous fracking stakes in the Beetaloo Basin.
But the fight is far from over, and it’s time to shift our focus. Origin have sold to Tamboran Resources, who now plan to frack as early as October this year. Tamboran has already received $7.5 million in public funding from the Morrison Government, and has since been dodging accountability.
That’s where we come in: Tamboran is holding an Annual General Meeting on 25 October. On the same day, Labor will be announcing their first budget.
Together, we can help raise awareness of Tamboran’s imminent and dangerous fracking plans by having persuasive conversations with members of the public whilst Tamboran holds its AGM!
