We’d love you to join us for a picnic at Boronia Park on Sunday 25th February and we are excited to have this picnic flow from a meeting of local Referendum Yes campaigners late last year that initiated GetUp's Bennelong Action Group.
We're a team of local GetUp members who share a passion for environmental justice, human rights, democracy and economic fairness.
In 2023 GetUp volunteers had a huge impact putting First Nations justice front and centre.
Plans for this year include much more including delving into how we safeguard our democracy against rising misinformation and disinformation.
The picnic is an opportunity to exchange ideas with like minded people, catch up with local friends and to discuss campaign options to move toward a better future.
Most important, the picnic is an opportunity to firm up this new group of local GetUp members to share opportunities to campaign in the Bennelong community.
We will meet near the children's play area at midday.
Bring your friends and family.
There is no penalty if you rsvp and dont make it on the day. RSVPs will receive my mobile number in case you have any issues on Sunday.

We love connecting with each other and nothing beats doing that face to face but Coronavirus is still around.
So please stay home if you have or suspect you have coronavirus and even though we are outdoors, please stay aware of social distancing and other relevant precautions.
