Barton: People not polluters local launch

2021 is a make or break year for climate justice. Traditional Owners are facing down fossil fuel companies, bush-fire survivors are joining forces to protect their communities and school students are fighting for their future in court.

But while local communities stand up for the people and places we love, Scott Morrison and Angus Taylor are about to hand over billions of dollars of public money to big gas corporations, propping up a dying, risky and climate-wrecking industry.

Barton Action group includes Banks, Canterbury Bankstown and Georges River areas.

Join us on Thursday evening 1 April to hear the campaign plan and how you and other local GetUp members can get involved.

This is the first local action in a huge new campaign to protect the people we love by stopping new public funding for polluting gas corporations.

Surround yourself with whatever drinks, snacks or food you fancy and let us grow our community's people power for a fairer future.

I will be there about 15 minutes early to help with any fine tuning of your zoom or connection issues
