The future of Medevac hangs in the balance, and as Canberrans, you can help!
The final crucial vote to #SaveMedevac will happen next week – and key politicians like Senator Jacqui Lambie are still holding their cards close.
We know that on issues like this, politicians take their cues from the community – from everyday Australians like you. So as politicians return to Canberra ahead of the vote, we need to make sure that’s exactly who they hear from.
Can you join us at a powerful overnight vigil on the lawns of Parliament to show politicians the community wants them to #SaveMedevac?
What: #SaveMedevac Vigil organised by Rural Australians for Refugees
When: Sunday 10 November from 6:30pm to Monday 11 November at 9:30am - pick what shifts you can attend!
Where: Parliament House lawns, Federation Mall, Canberra
Bring: Battery operated candles or tea lights, rugs and chairs to sit on, water and snacks.
Wear: Warm clothes in black or purple
Whether you can come for an hour as the sun rises before work, or are able to settle in for the night with a hot coffee and a blanket – every bit counts!
We'll bring tea and coffee and provide some snacks.
