It's an exciting new chapter for the GetUp Action Network.
Since kicking off in September 2017, Action Groups around Australia have been working hard and building momentum. But to continue to grow, we need to take time now to strengthen our network and develop new skills and strategies.
That's why Action Group members are invited to the Queensland Hive — a day of dynamic workshops and relationship-building where you'll come away with the skills, resources and energy to strengthen your Action Group, and play a formative role in the next federal election.
What: Queensland Hive
When: 9am - 5:30pm, Saturday 7 July
Where: Griffith University EcoCentre, 170 Kessels Rd, Nathan
The Queensland Hive agenda has been developed by seasoned political activist Holly Hammond, and will be delivered by key leaders from the GetUp Action Network and GetUp campaigners.
There will be a mix of large all-in sessions and smaller workshops, including:
How & Why We Shift Votes: What are the changes we want to see this election and how can we get there? Learn how your Action Group can shift hearts and minds.
Future to Fight For: Find out how we can use the upcoming election to tackle inequality in Australia.
Building Healthy Teams: Understand what makes excellent groups thrive and how to organise an active, spirited and supported Action Group.
Growth and Engagement: Learn why people join and stay in groups and how you can make your Action Group sustainable.
